Happy Holidays everyone!
Here we are at the end of another productive year in the Department of Natural Resources and Parks. With 2016 just around the corner, this is a great time to reflect on and celebrate our 2015 accomplishments. The link below will take you to a slide show highlighting some of our more notable achievements, although it is just a small sampling of our department’s wide range of work.
There are so many ways that we positively influence our residents’ quality of life by providing regional parks and trails, protecting the region’s water, air, land, natural habitats and historic properties, and reducing, safely disposing of and creating resources from wastewater and solid waste. These are just a few of the reasons why I believe it is important that we celebrate all of our accomplishments big and small, because doing so only fosters more good things to come.
Wishing you a full year of happiness and success in 2016.
Christie True,
Director Department of Natural Resources and Parks
