Small kitchen appliances. Lamps. Chairs. Tools. Fans. Toys. Sports equipment. Clocks. Jewelry. Clothing.
Whatever you got, if it needs repairing or mending, bring it to the Repair Café on Saturday and we’ll try to fix it!
After 10 successful free community repair events this year in south King County, this popular program is coming to Chomp! These repair events keep stuff out of the landfill, reduce climate change by conserving resources, and save you money!
Bring in your item from 10 to 5 at our King County EcoConsumer program Repair Café tent, right next to the beer garden.
If possible, contact me in advance to sign up (tom.watson@kingcounty.gov, 206-477-4481), in case our fixers have any questions about the items you’re planning to bring in. Or RSVP/sign up on our Facebook event page to let us know what you’re bringing.
We’ll have at least six all-purpose fixers and three sewing fixers on hand, all experienced, with their tools and sewing machines. We can’t fix everything that shows up, but we’ll give it our best shot!
We can also give you tips on how to fix things yourself, as you watch your own repair. Or, stop by for one of our informal mini-workshops during the day – we’ll have the schedule posted there at the tent.
See you there!
