How much do you love trees? We love trees so much we set out to plant one million trees in King County by 2020 – and we’re almost there! And what better time to celebrate 1 Million Trees than on Valentine’s Day.
King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks wants to learn what you love and appreciate about trees. We want to see your love notes to and about your favorite tree, forest, outdoor green space, natural area, scenic view with trees or environmental action to take.
Did you know that a growing coaltion of cities, nonprofits, schools, and volunteers led by King County has so far planted 921,111 trees?
We are asking you to write about the places in King County, or the actions that you are taking here to help protect the environment. You can even capture this love for trees and the outdoors in multi-media form.
The notes can be in the form of photos with a caption. Video clips. Short scribbles. Love poems. Short tributes. Please let us know if you’d like to include your name with your submission.
We will include your submission in a special love letter to King County’s 1 Million Trees – right here on our blog – to celebrate our labor of love: 1 Million Trees. Three lucky submissions will win a 1 Million Trees mug!
There are a number of ways to send a love note. First include the #1MillionTrees hashtag then…
