Celebrate Earth Day with our playlist

Join King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks as we celebrate the 53rd Anniversary of Earth Day! To celebrate we’re sharing music that’s inspiring us as we spotlight Earth-friendly activities that can make a difference every day of the year. We can’t listen enough to new, local music from western Washington -based bands like Black Belt Eagle Scout and Enumclaw. We’ve included plenty of music that gives a nod to Puget Sound and the special things that make King County such a spectacular place to live. The playlist also includes The Clash’s, London Calling, which touches on climate change, a song ahead of its time for 1979, the year the Clash released the track. For those who want to hear their music live and in-person, we’re looking forward to Timber Outdoor Music festival at King County’s Tolt MacDonald Park and Marymoor Live, King County’s Summer Concert Series at Marymoor Park.

If you liked our Earth Day playlist, give it a follow. Also, spread the message and let your friends, family, and neighbors know what you’re doing to honor Earth Day. You can also tag us on social media to let us know!
