Soak it in, summer has arrived!

Summers are one of King County’s best-kept secrets. To celebrate the season, we created a playlist to soak up summer 2023. We included a few classics from local artists, Jimi Hendrix and Soundgarden. We’re hoping for bluebird skies and 80-degree weather for upcoming concerts at Marymoor Live, and we added tracks from Noah Kahan and Young the Giant who will be playing in August. We can’t get enough of new, local music from western Washington-based bands such as Black Belt Eagle Scout. They’ll be playing at this year’s Timber! Outdoor Music Festival on July 27 at King County’s Tolt-MacDonald Park. Save the date for this year’s CHOMP! happening Saturday, Aug. 19. Get ready for this FREE outdoor celebration of local food, live music, green-living, and activities for the whole family. Headliners Blind Boys of Alabama with their hit track “Welcome” is on our playlist.

Enjoy the music! We hope you have a chance to explore the outdoors this summer, if you’re going to Mt. Si on a summer weekend, consider taking Trailhead Direct. Remember to leave the Bluetooth speaker at home when you hit the trail, because no one wants to hear your playlist while out in nature.
